Event Information

Local Shared Ministry is a growing and important strand of ministry in the PCANZ. To ensure these teams are working in healthy and harmonious ways, we have Enablers. Enablers help the team to gel, consider how to engage in ministry and mission in faithful ways, and attend to the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of the team.

KCML is forming a Community of Practice, drawing Enablers together from across Aotearoa to engage in structured and peer-to-peer learning with each other. In total there will be seven sessions taking place two months apart. Each session will involve a KCML faculty member teaching as well as spaces for peer-to-peer learning, questioning, and conversation.

The seven topics covered will be:

  • An introductory session looking at key skills for an Enabler
  • Theological Reflection
  • Navigating Group Dynamics
  • Gathered Worship Services
  • Supervising your Team
  • Pastoral Care
  • Attending to God’s Mission

If you are new or have been an Enabler for a few years, this Community of Practice will be helpful for you.

KCML Facilitator

Rev Sebastian Murrihy - Lecturer/Ministry Formation Coordinator
