Amorangi Ministry

Amorangi ministry is unique to Te Aka Puahou. Te Aka Puahou is that part of the Church within which Māori, and those others who choose to associate within and under the maru (shelter and authority) of that part of the Church, can carry out the mission of God from a Māori cultural perspective. Te Aka Puahou is a court of the Church that provides and maintains its maru throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.

What is Amorangi Ministry?

Te Aka Puahou recognises that there are those within it who are called by God to serve the Church in a self-supporting ministry, and many of those who are called to this ministry will already be elders within the Māori community. The standing of such elders is of particular importance to the effectiveness of their ministry.
