She is an ordained Presbyterian minister (PCANZ & PROK), experienced trauma counsellor (MNZAC) and clinical supervisor in private practice. Currently she serves as the Senior Educator and coordinator of Trauma Majors in the School of Postgraduate Studies, Research and Development at Bethlehem Tertiary Institute (BTI), Tauranga. She previously taught in the Counsellor Education programmes at Laidlaw College and AUT university before joining BTI.
She has extensive experience in children and youth ministry, having served in both Korea and New Zealand before being retrained to become a therapist. She also served as a member of the Council of Assembly for several years. As a counsellor, her experience spans various fields including the University of Auckland Health and Counselling Centre, Papatoetoe Counselling Services Centre, Totara Hospice, and Problem Gambling Foundation of NZ. She is married with two children and continually searches for ways to make life meaningful and fun.
